Welcome to our monthly product highlight blog! This month we will be looking into the treatments to use in Autumn to give your Swimming Pond that additional support.
The product we will be going into more detail about is The Swimming Pond Shops very own Aqua Bio Water Rebalance. After careful research on natural products that benefit Swimming Ponds while causing no harm to you or the environment we found a mineral based treatment that works perfectly, and even better it works effectively in colder temperatures.
Aqua Bio is used in Natural Swimming ponds to rejuvenate gravel and reed bed filters. It provides the right conditions for bacteria to work effectively while decreasing any anaerobic activity.
Aqua Bio should used as part of a regular maintenance program to prevent excessive algae growth.
Aqua Bio rebalances the chemical composition of the water by providing calcium, it is also great for plants and invertebrates. By doing this it increases the hardness of the water and buffers the pH shifts without physically increasing the pH. Another key feature is that Aqua Bio precipitates phosphates out of the water, these cause algae growth in Natural Swimming ponds.
The product can be scattered over the gravel or reed bed, between plants, where it will get drawn down into the bed and start to work.
