Aqua Bio is used in natural swimming ponds to rejuvenate gravel and reed bed filters. It provides the right conditions for bacteria to work effectively while decreasing any anaerobic activity.

Aqua Bio should used as part of a regular maintenance program to prevent excessive algae growth.

Aqua Bio rebalances the chemical composition of the water by providing calcium, it is also great for plants and invertebrates. By doing this it increases the hardness of the water and buffers the pH shifts without physically increasing the pH. Another key feature is that Aqua Bio precipitates phosphates out of the water, these cause algae growth in natural swimming ponds.

The product can be scattered over the gravel or reed bed, between plants, where it will get drawn down into the bed and start to work. It is also great used along side a bacteria based product.
